Ascension Book Group
Ascension's Book Group Meets Thursday, March 8, at 6:30 p.m., in Wheeler Hall
Note that this is the second Thursday in March
In March, the group will meet to discuss I Heard the Owl Call My Name by Margaret Craven. The novel is a portrait of Kingcome, a Native American village in the Pacific Northwest, and what happens when the new vicar of the local Episcopal parish arrives. The Christian Science Monitor has called the book "a shining parable about reconciliation of two cultures and two faiths."
The Book Group meets in Wheeler Hall at 6:30 (after evening prayer) and includes light refreshments. The book is available for $7 at the Book Table in Wheeler Hall.
