Outreach
The St. Anthony of Padua Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry
Rod Luery, coordinator
The parish soup kitchen and food pantry distributed more than 1,500 bags of groceries and nearly 2,000 bag lunches to the poor in our neighborhood in 2007.
Volunteers meet at 10:30 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month to assemble the bags of food and to prepare the lunches. The door opens at 12 noon for the distribution of food. Anyone interested in volunteering may use our Contact Form, or simply show up at 10:30 or so on the first Saturday of any month.
Those who prefer to donate canned or boxed foods or personal-hygiene products may place these items on our donation cart in the hallway near the garden entrance to the church building.
