12-Step Programs


Meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous are open to all who desire to stop drinking. Al-Anon meetings are for those whose lives are affected by the drinking habits of someone close. Those attending meetings should enter through the garden and take the back stairs to the basement meeting room. The following meetings are held in the Church of the Ascension basement:

  • Thursdays: Recovery International (self-help mental health; not AA), 6:30 p.m.
  • Fridays: Recovering Couples Anonymous (RCA) (not AA), 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays: Bughouse Square Group AA, 7 p.m.
  • Sundays: The Sixty Minute Group AA, 7 p.m.
  • Mondays: Ascension 12-Step Study Group AA, 7 p.m.
  • Tuesdays: LaSalle at Elm AFG Al-Anon, 7:15 p.m.
