“A magnificent 10 for the sermon at Ascension, Chicago”

(8 July 2008) The Mystery Worshipper Web site gives fascinating glimpses into what goes on in churches around the world through clandestine visits and subsequent reports done much in the manner of a thorough restaurant review. Part of the sometimes irreverent yet often quite serious Ship of Fools site, the Mystery Worshipper section trains reporters to visit churches, take structured notes, and write detailed reports for the site, leaving behind a card in the offering plate as evidence of their visit.

The latest MW report on Church of the Ascension is linked here, and the fact that there have been two reports on our parish seems like a fine reason to devote a whole page of our site to them.
