† R.I.P. Richard Earl Pistole, Priest † 

(Nov. 19) PLEASE PRAY FOR THE SOUL of RICHARD EARL PISTOLE, PRIEST, who died Tuesday, November 18. Father Pistole with his wife, Doris, have been loyal and devoted members of the Church of the Ascension for many years during Father's retirement years. Father Pistole will be buried from this church on Monday, November 24, at 2 pm, in a Solemn High Requiem Mass celebrated by the Bishop of Chicago. Visitation is both Saturday and Sunday, 2-6 p.m., at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 South Mill Street, Naperville (630-355-0213). On Monday here at Church of the Ascension, Father Fertig will receive the body of Fr. Pistole at 1 p.m., after which visitation will be in the nave until the Mass at 2 p.m. Ordained a priest for the Diocese of Los Angeles in 1957, Father Pistole served for 28 years as rector of St. John's, Naperville, Illinois.
