New Saturday Liturgy Schedule

(July 30, 2009)

Beginning September 5, 2009, the new schedule for liturgies on Saturday will be:

9:40 a.m.   Morning Prayer
10:00 a.m. Public Mass of Healing
5:30 p.m.   Confessions
6:00 p.m.   Evening Prayer

The Rosary will be recited on Marian feasts and on the Saturdays in May.

A Message From Father Fertig

I am pleased to inform you that the Bishop has given me permission to invite Father Geoffrey Ward to serve at Church of the Ascension. He is an Anglo-Catholic priest from the Diocese of Fond du Lac in Wisconsin. He was ordained to the priesthood in January and has served for year before that as a deacon in Hartford, Connecticut. He has five children. He works for an insurance company in the Loop.

He will celebrate four weekday Masses in August. After Labor Day, I hope to invite him to begin serving at the Sunday Masses.
