Organ Recital, Choral Evensong & Benediction

Evensong is one of the jewels of Anglicanism. Evensong, also known as Evening Prayer (particularly when said rather than sung) is part of the Daily Office. The service includes chanted psalms and canticles, choir anthems, congregational hymns, readings from Holy Scripture, and prayers. At Church of the Ascension, Evensong is offered in conjunction with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. This devotional rite includes prayers, hymns, and a short meditation offered in praise of Our Lord made present to us in the mysteries of the Sacrament of the Altar.
