Anglo-Catholicism

Anglo-Catholics are loyal members of the Episcopal Church who define ‘Catholic’ as being part of the Universal Church across the world and throughout the ages. We rejoice in the Catholic sacraments and follow Catholic traditions, which is evident to many upon entering our church and taking part in our worship:
  • We value and relish liturgy and music that nourishes and strengthens our souls, bodies, and minds.
  • Our reverence for the Blessed Sacrament of the Mass, Christ’s Body and Blood, is emphasized by the church's architecture and liturgical ceremony.
  • We have a strong sense of unity with the Communion of Saints. You will see people offering their prayers and lighting votive candles at the shrine of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Our Lord, or the shrine of our patron, Saint Michael the Archangel.
Episcopalians in general, and Anglo-Catholics in particular, use many particular words and terminology. To help, we’ve provided a Glossary of Churchly Terms.
The best way to understand our traditions is to see them in action. Join us this Sunday, and we'll be happy to show you more!
